Another very nice restoration. It looks like it could be fresh out of the box. A nice extra having the box it came in too.

Hi Russ,
as promised I put some images up of the final swivel plate I built for the 4e jointer.

Very nice solution for the mounting plate. Simple to make for anyone needing one. I see it can still be removed from the Model 10 by releasing the set screw and sliding the bar in the headrest out. Great job!

Nice find on the "A" adapter for your Model 10ER. Any of the Model 620 or later Jointers can be mounted on it along with a couple of the other Add-a-Tools, as they were called, or SPT's.

JPG likes your Table Raising Assembly. Not as simple to use as the Crank and Arm ones but I like them too.

Yeah, spotted the “A” adapter sitting on a beat up Shopsmith in an add online. The guy sold it to me for $5.
Thanks again for the detailed swivel plate dimensions you provided, it made coming up with a design and making it very easy.

Interesting collection shown in the picture. It is sitting on a Mark 5 frame (headrest, bench and way tubes with a tailstock) and has a 10E Fence next to it. Most people buying the "A" Adapter by itself end up paying closer to $100.

That funny crinkled up thing in the middle of the “A” adaptor was, once I cleaned it off, a Montgomery Wards price sticker. Couldn’t make out the price though. My original 10e is a 1947 that my grandfather bought from Montgomery Wards.

When the "A" Adapter first came out in 1954 just it sold for $4.95. I guess you overpaid for it by a nickel. :D
