Wanted to see if the owl was back nesting where it was last year. It wasn't. But I did find it near that location and I think setting on the nest so more then likely an egg(s) or a chick(s) in process.
A rather difficult walk with the snow, frozen crusty snow, ice, and not very stable footings. The walk is about 2-3/4 mile round trip so it might be while before I attempt the adventure again, either more snow or less ice would help.
While the good news is that I found the owl the bad news is that it going to be hard to get any really decent pictures or videos this year. Too much vegetation in that direction.
