Re: Craft projects
These are great projects! I especially like how they 'interact' with the furnishing corners.

Very nice,
I made some cat and mouse door toppers by request for friends once, but these Christmas themed ones are great, I may need to dust off the bandsaw.

I don't need to make any of those cute molding-corner decorations. In my house, they come right down the chimney flue, just like Santa Clause. And they even arrange themselves on the molding!
Re: Craft projects
I love your craftsmanship, don’t think I could make one of those!

Flying squirrel?

Re: Craft projects
Baby gray squirrel. I heard him scrabbling about in the chimney flue. When I opened the damper, out he came, quite understandably agitated. He immediately made the 7-foot leap up onto that window frame, and then did his best to be invisible. So I snapped a couple of pics, opened the door to the back deck, and herded him back outdoors.

Looking at the picture and blowing it up I have to say that sure looks like a flying squirrel, large loose skin between front and back legs.... Plus the face looks a lot more like a flying squirrel then a gray. How positive are you?

Re: Craft projects
I’m not at all positive, now that you ask. We have tons of gray squirrels here, but I’ve never noticed any flying squirrels. Which proves nothing.
I Googled them just now, and flying squirrels are said to be even more plentiful in Ohio than gray squirrels. But being nocturnal and shy, you may never know they’e around. I sure didn’t. I agree, my little visitor matches the online flying-squirrel pics quite well.
