The Great Conjunction

Also know as the "Christmas Star". This is the first time in 400 years that Jupiter and Saturn have been this close as viewed from earth. It is also the first time this has occurred in 800 years in the evening/night so it can be viewed.

Man, that's nice!

Ironic, I was telling my wife, Indiana had cloud cover that day, so we had a beautiful sunset but couldn't see the stars afterward. I mentioned that the Forum had folks out West with similar colorful sunset clouds a few days back. How fortunate you got a clear sky for the conjunction!

Thank you for sharing. It was overcast here so we were not able to see it as it happened.

This is the pic that I captured for it...a bit grainy from the digital zoom on my iPhone but you can see the two planets well.
