Chrome Speed Dial???

Post by RFGuy »

Never seen this before and I couldn't find any past threads discussing it. It looks to me like the speed dial from this YouTube video shows a chromed speed dial. Just curious if this was some special anniversary model or something, or if someone in the aftermarket did this. Has anyone seen this before?

Do you have a link to the video? Recently I saw someone mentioning how they polished their speed dial to a mirror finish like that. It may have been a YouTube video or maybe in a forum thread.

Ed,

Thanks. Yeah, it is just one of the videos from the channel of the guy that makes steel 3D printed power couplers for the Mark V.

Ok, in the comments someone called Nowhere Man offers this advice:
"Get a polishing wheel for your maybe six or 8 inch grinder, and a bit of polishing compound and you can make that aluminum shine like polished stainless steel, as I did on all of the aluminum doodads and such on my Mark 5"

Don't know if that's how Stig Odiy did it though.
