Tracking Numbers

I'm using the SS online Order Status. Part of my 11/9 order shipped 1/22 but there is no tracking number like I've seen in the past. Anyone have recent experience with this tool either providing, or not, a tracking number?

Yeah, I had this once or twice last year. I think it happens sometimes when you get on the phone to Shopsmith to make any order changes, e.g. if they split your order to ship a part of it sooner. Or when you have multiple orders and they consolidate them into fewer orders. I think I had to just keep calling on the phone to check status. I don't know why this happens, but I have seen it.

I don't recall on the others but for my last two orders I did not have a tracking number. Good news is that a tracking number was not needed. Both shipments were delivered during the same week (within 7 days) that they were ordered.

Tracking number are from the shipper and IIRC sometimes I get one, occasionally not. Order Numbers even when orders have been split still have the same order number and may have a -1, -2 added. When orders are split they would have different tracking numbers for shipping. My current order is listed as "Open Items Not Shipped Yet" on the check order status so no tracking number available for that one yet to tell if I'll get one.

I hope everyone knows that there are two ways to obtain order status. The one that I prefer requires that you establish a "Personal Home Page".

shopsmith.com/Woodworking Sources/Personal Home Page

upper left corner - click on Order Status and History

you then need to enter your shopsmith username and password

My order history page used to be several pages long. Glad I have hard copies (not that I'll ever need them again but the list has now been truncated to only eight line items.

Adding to my post from yesterday, my order was shipped yesterday afternoon according to the Order Status. The Order Status has a tracking number listed but I have not received any other notification about it, like an email. For anyone interested I place the order online on January 20 so eight days to be shipped.

I did not know there were two ways. Does the 'Personal Home Page' version offer more information? Most customers probably want to know the expected ship date when there are delays.

Log on and see for yourself. I use it because I don't need to know the order number to get to the data.

What I really like though is the History on all orders not just the present.

We had an issue with tracking numbers not showing up with orders but that should be (mostly) fixed now. Thanks for letting us know.

I did receive my order on Tuesday, January 2. 2021. I did not receive any notification of it being shipped or the Tracking Number. Having checked the Order Status was the only way I knew it was on the way and that had a Tracking Number.
