I think I'll make it National Take A Nap day.

I don't need a Shopsmith discount this week. I sent in an order to Shopsmith last week Monday and the order arrived on Friday, so now I'm probably done buying parts for a little while again.

If we have National Shopsmith Day all of the trolls will just post the same old tired put down, "They are OK for carpentry work but you can't do serious woodworking on one"... They know this because their wife's uncle's sister's cousin who has never had electricity told them so.
OK, so I'm still a little pissed from reading that very line "some place" a week or so ago.

Nah, just let the bashers bash while I cut wood and do all my woodworking on my Shopsmith.
I"m building while they are talking. Who gets the most done?

When bashers say it's too much trouble to change modes I ask them how long it takes for them to switch their table saw into drill press mode.

Well, I hope I am not considered to be one of the bashers. I have always been very open, honest, and direct but I do try to balance my comments here to temper them so as to try not to offend. There are many things I LOVE about my Shopsmith equipment, but also some things I don't like. In addition I entered the Shopsmith world by using my father's Shopsmith as a teenager before purchasing my own, so there is an emotional tie and bond to Shopsmith that will always be there for me. My Shopsmith equipment has served me very well over the years. I do tend to have high expectations for all products that I purchase, not just tools, so I can be demanding at times and have no qualms of pointing out where a product (or company) can do better. Continuous improvement is an aspiration that all entities (companies or people) should strive for IMHO. Hopefully my comments on this forum are understood that I want nothing but the best for Shopsmith as a company and its customers...
