I have a chance to get a lifestyle expanse 850 tread mill with motor, is this any good to use on shopsmith 10er? It is a sears, probably not the best.

If no one else responds here you may want to check out the Shopsmith group on Facebook. There is a specific group there related to digital motor conversions on Shopsmith equipment. They may be a great resource for you. One guy in the UK made his own LCD touchscreen display and software to control the conversion he did on his Mark V.

I agree with RFGuy, the facebook shopsmith digital motor coversion group has the most info on this. It's a private group; you have to join to acces the info.
The good news is that a SS 10 (10E,10ER) are the easiest SS's to convert.
Don't know much about the lifestyle treadmill. Yuo have to open it up to look at the motor (HP;RPM) and the motor control board(MC50 or 60 orMC2100).
