Horizontal micro-adjustment - more use

Post by forrestb »

I used the horizontal stop collar to successfully cut the widths of my Advent Calendar boxes. Since the lengths were as critical, I adapted the jig for use with the miter gauge.

The large piece between my work and the collar is to compensate for my very thin plywood (1/4 BB). Worked great but I need to use a better pad between the collar and work.

I also wrote the adjustment factors on the collar base; the memory isn't what it used to be.

There is no such thing as an unsafe tool, only unsafe owners. If you make a machine idiot-proof, God will invent a better idiot.
