DC-6000 Noises NO LONGER

Post by dusty »

I finally got the DC-6000 assembled to the point where I could put power to it.

It sounds different both at turn-on and turn-off. It sounds as though there is a phased turn-on. It starts sortsaquiet and slow and then picks up speed. Sounds good. It runs smooth. Maybe not quieter than the DC-3300 but smooth.

When I turn it off it runs down smooth but takes forever to stop. At first I thought the motor cooling fan was rubbing on something but that has stopped. I think it was an misplaced piece of foam insulation. I now have a small hand full of black debris in the dust collection bag.

TO THOSE WHO HAVE ALREADY READ THIS POST - I APOLOGIZE. THE NOISE I MENTIONED WAS ALL MY DOING AND NOT A FUNCTION OF THE DC-6000.
