I used to do a lot of pyrography (drawing with fire/heat) and the name just stuck. I still do pyrography on my woodturnings, but not so much the landscape type I used to do for fireplace mantles.

The mantles are 4-to-8-foot long by 1-to-2 foot wide landscape woodburnings. It would sometimes take me months to make just one, but the time was worth it when all said and done.

Nothing exciting here... Tom's my first name, my last name starts with a K, and I hail from Missouri, so Tom_K/Mo.

Now, my domain name for my plans web site (vbwhiz.isa-geek.net)... I'm a software engineer for a major aircraft manufacturer and most all the coding projects my group works on are written in Visual Basic or ASPX.
ShopSmith MarkV-520 with Belt Sander, Jointer, Band Saw, Strip Sander, Scroll Saw and Biscuit Jointer SPTs and a DC-3300...
Woodworking Hobbyist (Check out all my Woodworking Plans (http://vbwhiz.isa-geek.net/plans)
Aspiring Sandcarver: Breaking glass one grain at a time.
Black Powder Shooter (love the smell of burning sulfur).

My real name is "Heath" but the forum wouldn't let me register as that, so I went with an old college nickname.
