lives a new life as an infeed/outfeed table.
These photos are not mine, nor are the infeed/outfeed tables. They belong to Doc (chiroindixon). He has been trying to share them with the forum but is having technical difficulties with the posting process on the forum.
I have posted them, with his permission, just to verify that the procedure we have been discussing works. If you see no pictures with this post - you'll know it didn't.
These tables are really neat. They are not just infeed/outfeed tables. They are height adjustable, portable tables that could be used anywhere in the shop.
They have locking casters and could easily be modified to become cabinets or drawers.
Way to go, Doc.

I like that idea too. I'm going to do something similar with the shorty chasis when it arrives.
Thanks for the photos!

What did you use as the "way tubes"?
I posted a jury rigged version earlier where I just stuck some 2 x 2 square stock through the holes and clamped them to a workmate, but I'd like to incorporate your solution into a Shopsmith cart that would hold the fence, miter gauge, spare tables, jointer, etc.
Oh, here is my jury rigged version. Sorry for the sideways view and all the sawdust, but you'll get the idea.

Just had to do this to see if I could.
If you even see this after I post it, it is because I couldn't delete it once it was there.

Plan called for 1.5" EMT conduit pipe but I have 1 5/8" OD....you need two 18" lengths.....
If you have an old set of the stock way tubes, easy to get off Ebay....cut those. Some folks might have them left over from chopping a Mark V down to a mini...or even a midi per Bill Mayo....I don't know what is the leftover length from such a "chop job". Bill?
