Both Lowes and HD in my area give the 10% Vet's discount every day.
And Dusty, they won't give me the senior discount as well. I know, I tried!:D

I did not see a 'senior discount' in that link of Ed's to Lowes CS.

I just searched both home depot and AARP and found a long diatribe regarding a partnership between AARP and Home Depot but nothing about a senior Discount. In that I will likely visit a store tomorrow I will ask.

Most retail places will not allow you combine discounts. Behooves you to know what discounts you might be eligible for.

I apologize, we did visit home depot today. When quoted the prices for pre-hung doors priced the way my bride desires to have them built for seven interior doors in our house, I went into shock and left the store without asking that important question. Jim

I once got a vet's discount in Home Depot and it upset me. It was on one of there special days and the cashier asked if I was a Vet. I said no, all I did was take 2 years of ROTC in college. She said good enough and gave me the discount. I like the savings, but I didn't deserve it so it upset me. Had I passed the ROTC physical (bum knee = 4F) I would have been in Nam - but I didn't so I didn't deserve the discount.

An honest man! Kudos!

Do not be too hard on yourself. Neither the knee nor the cashier were your 'fault'(I assume you did not shoot yourself in the knee!:D).
