Aluminum Sanding Disk & Dust Chute

Post by skowznofski »

Item 555167 Disc Sander Dust Chute says: "Not for use with older aluminum discs". Anybody know why? Thanks!

The aluminum disk's "hub" may not be long enough to fit in the space allotted.

Also, I've noticed an aluminum disk's casting vanes kick up a lot of wind, compared to a flat steel disk. Don't know if that might present a problem, too (?).
