'Lavender' maybe?:D
John Deere Green. Kidding...
Scroll up to message 3 and look at the jointer guard. The drawer fronts look deep red, just a little darker than that jointer guard. Maybe a slight trace of maroon but mostly deep red. BTW, the feather board just above that guard appears kind of bright red with maybe a few drops of yellow in a pint can.

And is not really purple...in real life it's the same color as the maroon/deep red quill handle, TS insert, speed control knob, etc etc
The wood you see is the plywood side to a slide out shelf sans face frame...that's where I plan to put my crosscut sled
The drawers are all empty right now. I'm stuck deciding what to do there. Make pretty fitted drawer inserts to hold all that stuff in a fixed position so I know where it is...or throw it in the drawer and go make something fun? Hmmm. :-)
In closing... so what if it is purple?!?! Nuthin' wrong with purple...:-)

I just could not envision what on the SS was 'purple'. Let's just blame it on lighting and differences in monitors!
How about egg crate dividers? Nothing 'permanent', always alterable.

I wish to put the color thing to rest. I have consulter with the ultimate authority in colors, Crayola, the box dictates "Magenta" as a closer match to the color based on lighting.

I built a Radio Shack vacuum tube color bar generator way back when. I think that it is still out in the shed. The next time that I am that deep into that abbise, I'll bring it out and check.

Whatever color you want to call it, I think it looks like a great addition to the shop. If it was in my shop, it would be loaded full (of things that I own but have to search for regularly).
BTW, FWIW - I think the color in question is Mulberry with a touch of red.
