I didn't see an introduction subforum so I chose here...
As a 31 year old male, I just received my grandfather's Shopsmith Mark V with many accessories.
As a child I used it a lot, bandsaw, lathe and may other variations.
I went on a hell of a long road trip yesterday to receive the property as my grandma has finally started thinning out the items after my grandfather's death a few years ago.
I am soooo excited, I have wanted this thing for so long and now it is finally mine.
I came across this forum while doing some research into maintenance and have found several threads with great pictures to help with the oiling etc. for that I thank you.
I was so excited that I went out there today and just randomly began cutting wood, nothing of significance just cutting for the hell of it. DAMN IT FEELS GOOD!
I am thrilled to have it at my home, making my own workshop in the garage, planning on lamps, clocks and many many more things in the future.
Ya ya, this is going on too long but I am had to share.

Okay, I did update my profile, and we drove from Iowa to Nebraska to get it, roughly 500 miles each way. I was lucky enough to have 2 friends and me plus one of their kids to help load all the stuff.
here is when the truck was loaded, we chose to leave a bunch more dark walnut, but I will be back for more. Plus we left a bunch of books, afraid they'd rip and tear in the wind. Plus we had the truck loaded when we found them.

Here is the machine in my garage/new shop. Currently cleaning it up, oiling and gotta paste wax everything.
