I got mine a few days back too.

As a reward to shopsmith I'm planning on doing an order, If my back of an envelope math was right it will come to $83.23. This means I should also get the free gift of the laminated speed/conversion chart (I don't think I would buy the charts but since it is absolutely free!)

This can be our way of rewarding them for good behavior. Good shopsmith, well done.

We need to be thanking the pioneers who purchased the early PowerPros. That income I am sure had a direct effect on the ability to distribute a paper flyer again.

Thanks Guys!!!!

Got mine today and will be placing several orders as my retirement check permits. Want to upgrade my 500 to a 520 and get the powerpro all in due time.

I want to also upgrade to tilting on both ends. May order that first, then on to the tables and then get the company to rebuild my headstock. :) Have two of these wonderful machines - one to each child, so have to get both set up the same to pass on. Grandson also enjoying using the boring procedures. :)

I like the idea of support the company to encourage them in this direction of old fashioned Americanism.

It looks like the guide is mounted to a sliding t-nut or a small bar with the t-nut wings. The 500 tables do not have the t-track built into the miter slot.
The t-nut allows the guide to be adjusted and locked in the miter slot.

You could probably substitute a regular miter bar, but it would have to be locked into the miter slot via the tapered set screw in the split section of the bar. Not sure if that would work without having the pattern guide in hand or if SS recommends it.

Mind you this is all just a guess on my part.

That sounds like a logical explanation. I do believe I could find a way. Might have to build an auxiliary table with t-slots but that would be easy.

I wish they would not put so much tape on it or use something you could peel off.
Perhaps we can come up some sort of tape trimming jig or use a some kind of sled to cut the tape with our machines.:D

What? They are responding to e-mails now?

Things are definitely looking up for sure(first a catalog, and now e-mail response).

I hate to contemplate what next week will bring:)(I already know what May will bring!:().

Yes I was surprised it only took one day for them to answer. I don't understand why they are sending out a few at a time. Maybe $$$$?
