SS Email Specials
Over the last several months, I have on at least 3 occasions signed up for the Shopsmith email offers. I have yet to receive one (my spam folder is also empty). How often are these email offers sent out?

I cannot specifically answer your question but I will say that the flow of email specials has been quite regular.mountainbreeze wrote:Over the last several months, I have on at least 3 occasions signed up for the Shopsmith email offers. There is one right now that expires tomorrow and another the expires on the 22nd. There have been at least seven since 3/2/2012 (have not been deleted from my email).
Is it possible that by signing up multiple times you have helped create a problem. If there are conflicting differences in say your address or name, when you sign up, that may mess up the computer mailing system. Example: Last Name/Initials/Address vs Last Name/First Name/Address. I have worked with systems that would see this as a conflict; two addressees at the same address resulting in neither being recognized.

I used to get the email offers until my wife ordered some stuff off my wish list a couple years ago. Then she started getting the emails and I no longer got them. I've tried to sign up several times since then, but to no avail. And my wife hasn't gotten an email in about 3 months either...

Hopefully this is one of those threads that Shopsmith reads. It does appear as though there might be a kink in the email system.heathicus wrote:I used to get the email offers until my wife ordered some stuff off my wish list a couple years ago. It appears as though email specials have been coming at a rate of at least 1 or 2 a week. If this problem is as pervasive as it seems, it could have potentially serious impact on sales.

I guess that's possible but, even after I signed up the first time I did not receive any emails.

I know it can be frustrating when you do not receive the email specials directly. Here, however, is a link that you can follow to see what is on 'special'. You can always bookmark it and keep it on your desktop. Generally, Shopsmith sends out two email specials a week.

Send an email to customerservice@shopsmith.com and tell them you want to be on the list. I asked for a catalog and one is in the mail, still great customer service.

I suspect you are going to start receiving email specials again and soon. I had stopped receiving them months ago and nothing I did seemed to work.
When I mentioned it in the forum, I started receiving them again within a matter of days. I don't believe this is a coincidence. As recently has been shown, the administrator is actively watching this forum -- perhaps more carefully than in the past -- and has directly responded to some issues raised by forum members. I think this is an encouraging development from Shopsmith.

I got in contact with customer service and they promptly replied indicating that I was correctly entered into their system and should be receiving their emails. I have no "blocked" addressed and my spam folder has nothing in it from Shopsmith. Just unlucky I guess.
