It's not a "toy" by any means and seems to be a very high quality tool. The only markings on it are on the chuck and on the motor (but I have no reason to believe that indicates the maker of the drill press any more than "Jacobs" or AO Smith would indicate who made a Shopsmith).

The motor has a pivot point for moving the belt, and locks down for use. In addition to the 3-step pulley, the motor has two speeds (3 position toggle switch - slow/off/fast). There are ports for greasing the moving parts and applying oil to the motor bearings.

I think this little thing is just awesome. Anybody have any idea who made it, how old it is, or what it might have been designed for?
