Last week, ordered two packages of sanding disks and a hook and loop for the disk. It was shipped in about 1 day, and arrived in about 4. My only complaint is that I had no option to choose the US Mail. It would have been just as efficient, but I believe it is cheaper. Have sent many packages via US Mail the past 5 years with better service and prices than either UPS or FedEx. Have too many sad stories to tell about those last two. My better prices and services are by the US Post Office. Just MHO.

How does one determine the tracking number these days? I have two outstanding purchase orders. One is back ordered and I have called to determine its status. The status of the other is "Shipped".

In days gone by, when an item was shipped, Shopsmith sent an email so informing you and that email revealed a tracking number. Not so on this order.

How does the system work these days? Is there a tracking number available?
If you go to the owner's page, www.shopsmith.net and log in, you might find that you have a link "Click here to check your recent order". For me, this shows my recent orders and the tracking numbers associated with them.

Are you sure? I don't find an Owner's Page on shopsmith.net. In fact, I have always felt that it would be neat to have a direct connection to the Owner's Page from within the forum.

Now, if a go to shopsmith.com/Support/Order Status I can learn the status of any recent order but not the Tracking #.

I have communicated with Admin and it has been confirmed that something is not working as intended. The Tracking # should and will be available. Work in Process.

I did too, on an order about a month ago. Furthermore, I was able to get to a tracking number but something unexpected has happened. It is being worked on by Admin.

Order Status, Big Changes

Post by dusty »

There have been some great improvements made to On-Line Order Status.

I don't know of anything I might want to know about an outstanding order that is not now answered - except when a BO will come off of BO.

I also received an email notification yesterday that an item had been shipped. I have not had one of those notifications in a long time even though I have been receiving orders.

Great Job, Admin.:):)
