Traveling Academy

Post by curiousgeorge »

I attended the TA beginning lathe class today. :D As usual I learned a lot, spent way more than I should have on accessories and came home with Rick's DVD. Rick was his usual jovial and informative self. There was about 20 people, including three ladies, in the class and I saw at least two people that had two sheets of orders. These guys were serious and apparently have a lot more money than I. :o
Rick is headed for Tulsa Okla. tomorrow, so those guys are in for a treat Wednesday.

I hope that all this extra travelling Image that Rick is doing, along with his "new" DVD project does not burn him out. We need him to keep pounding into Image us all of that knowledge that he has.

I heard from Rick the other day and he told me that he will be starting production on the next DVD in about 3-4 weeks. That means he'll be home in CA with his family and able to take break from the road for a while. He sounds like he's full of energy and I don't think he'll be slowing down any time soon.

Tim,
I take it you really like those emoticons. I have tried to embed them on other forums and failed. The best I can do so far is put them in as attachments.

Hi George,

Thanks Tim, but for some reason I can't get it to work. I right click on the emoticon that I want and choose copy, but when I go back to place it and right click where I want it to go the paste option is still grayed out and not available.

George, that is strange and I can not explain it. Maybe someone else can? paulmcohen seems to know something about computers; maybe he will respond.

Emoticons

George, I now have the same problem you do. That has not always been the case. A couple days ago, I put an emoticon here on the forum but no more.

Dusty, same here, it has not always been the case. I thought maybe it was the browser (Firefox), but I tried with IE with the same results... NADA. It's a small thing, but it's frustrating the h*** out of me!
