Cut him some slack and give him time to mellow(sorta like bourbon(shine?) in a charred barrel*).

I attribute it to tongue in cheek, not burrs.

Third option - thicker skin!;)

I guess you are right, Dusty. I did ignore it as long as I could, but just had to say something. Consider the subject dropped on my end.

Yep, I gave up and used the ignore list too. The only way you see the post is when someone quotes. Hint, when the mods keep deleting your posts, perhaps they shouldn't have been posted in the first place.

I have had some deleted over the years and I am sure that I have been on more than one or two ignore lists but I am slowly learning that not all of my opinions are worthy of being posted to the general public.

We (you and I) could have a long discussion about thicker skins. As old as you are, yours is likely similar to rhino skin.

BTW, you have been on the ignore list a time or two. I just thought I'd tell you because I am sure you would never have guessed it.

No surprise there!

FWIW I only add spammers to my 'ignore' list.

I do not wish to miss any input that can change my 'opinion'.

Now at the risk of being added to someone else's list, I am not so smug as to believe that any opinion that I have is better nor more accurate than anyone else's. I have however accumulated considerable knowledge and possess many things which are discussed herein. I furthermore have no desire to keep any of it under a blanket and do share all that I have willingly. Some folks do not understand that propensity to share.

GEE there have even been (a few:D) times where my ignorance or lack of understanding has been exposed. I am truly thankful for those who have set me straight. It is with that same attitude that I may set others 'straight'.

I recognize that there are different degrees of experience and do 'correct' things said by well meaning but sometimes mis-informed folks in the spirit not of criticism, but rather of helping us all reach better understanding.

I continue to solicit the same from y'all.

Much of the obscure SS knowledge that I have acquired was sourced right here on this forum!!!

What's an ignore list?

Ed, I liked your photo essay on stop collars. Keep up the good work! I have an adjustable stop collar and never have used it, since I wasn't sure how to.

Go to User CP and scroll all the way down. There you will see Buddy/Ignore Lists. Click on that and follow the instructions. It gives you the option of entering user names that you want to Ignore. If at any time you change your mind, the posts that you have ignored will be available for you to read. Simply remove that user from your ignore list.

I currently have 34 names on my ignore list. These are users that I believe to be SPAMMERS. By putting them on my ignore list, it lessons the chance of me clicking on one of their links (which is the reason I placed their name on my ignore list). Ultimately, most of these names are blocked/deleted by ADMIN.

I am learning, and try to help others within my limited experience. But, it is nice to know that some of you keep an eye on what I say. Also, I often learn when I venture into putting in a comment. For instance due to MDF brittleness, I had no idea it was suitable for a curved surface. Also, the idea of a second front extension is something I had not thought of and will keep in mind so when opportunity knocks....

Anyway, I appreciate you and others 'clarifying'
