Stand Mount Scrollsaw

Just picked up a CL find for $50.
I'm looking for the owners manual and parts view diagram. The one on the SS site is pretty hard to see.
Anyone have any input on initial start up and service. Never had a scroll saw before.

Wow, I thought I did good when I picked one up for $75 today. The manual doesn't appear to be one of the free ones on shopsmith.net.

Here is a link to PTWFE about the scroll saw. It mentions the tension and speed settings for various situations.

Thank you sir, will be up all week starting tomorrow night.

Its the gray scroll saw on its own 1/8 hp motor stand with the variable speed control like on the planer.
I'm not sure but I think that makes it permanent to its stand, where I'm still looking fro the upgraded teal version to fit the power stand I got from you. (I believe it is specific to the scroll saw only)

The self powered scroll saw has a unique stand and does not have the center input shaft etc. I do not know if the input shaft holes are bored for the bearings.

Sorry for the delay in getting pics.
I believe I'm missing part(s). I haven't found any source with an exploded view that I can see.

I can see I am missing the insert, there are more holes than screws (bigger as well) and what goes in the channels?

You can enlarge the SS site parts diagram by holding down the control key on your keyboard and momentarily depressing the plus key (+).

It isn't totally clear but much better.

To return to the original screen size, depress the control key and momentarily depressing the zero key (0).

You do appear to be missing the rear cradle (part 87 in this diagram).

Regarding the table insert, there are a couple of holes to receive the spring clips that are mounted on the insert (similar to the aluminum bandsaw table).

In the last picture, you can see the blade mounting jigs (one on each side of the back of the table). A blade mounting block goes in each hole and the blade is guided by the boss between the block holes.

BTW, that is one hell of a deal for a freestanding scroll saw, you lucky dog. These are great saws. And, I guess they may be collectors items since they are no longer for sale. I went and bought a cheap foot switch from Horror Freight so that I can keep both hands on the piece that I am cutting and control power to the saw with my foot.

Does anyone have any pics they can post so I can see the parts? I can only open certain things on my computer when I'm at work so I can't see your diagram. A pic of the blade mounting jog you are referring to as well.

Does SS still sell parts for these?

Does Shopsmith still sell parts for these? That is a very good question. It is a question that I would never have asked until the word came out that there would be no new scroll saws for two years.
