I have an old 1954 (Green) Shopsmith I just purchased for $200. I have been restoring it and I got everything running perfect accept for one thing.
When I turn up the speed on the speed dial near W the bottom part of the top pulley separation starts hitting the leaver action of the speed adjustment.
Is there a way to fix or adjust this because I can see if one was not paying attention they could turn into this to fast and it would cause a lot of damage to say the lease.
Thank You

You're very welcome.dsdufour wrote:Thank a million, that fixed it.
I have a 1955 greenie I'm in the process of fixing up and the folks here have been very helpful. Get yourself a "Shopsmith Help Kit" and tune that machine up using the enclosed alignment instructions; it really helped getting my SS to operate smoothly and accurately.
