time on my hands
had a few days off from work so I hung out in the shop.

Lovely work.
It's been decided that my next project is new shelves in the garage/shop.
Perhaps with a little bit of organization I can get some of my work space back.
First we'll take the motorhome out for a week, then roll up my sleeves and dig into the mound made by all since Thanksgiving.
Think I'd rather turn bowls.
Happy New Years

I'm often asked and I usually reply, dark wood, light wood, hard wood or soft wood. I've tried to keep track of scraps, but I'm not that organized.
Looks great, that's all that counts.

Over the years I have had a lot of guys ask me "what kind of wood is that?". I would tell them then they would question it. "Are you sure? It looks like Xxxxxxx (always something else) to me". Now when someone asks I usually just respond "Tree".
