Unable to Send/Receive Messages

I reached the magic #50 on my number of inbox messages. I figured I would download them all as a text file. It turns out I only got all the inbox messages and lost the message I had received yesterday. I had a green bar on the inbox status. I thought simply emptying the inbox would solve the problem.

I tried to contract the member and my messages were bouncing back because I was still receiving an Inbox Full Message despite my inbox being empty. I noticed the other member tried to twice to write me, but my inbox reflected 50 messages according to the webmaster message I've copied below.

Well it wasn't my inbox being full, it also included messages saved in my folders. Frustrating at first as the subject line threw me off.

So it looks like 50 is the magic number for all messages in the inbox and the folders combines. Live and learn.
