Top Ten Reasons Why:

1. Your cloths don't get dirty
2. Your pockets don't get filled with shavings
3. Your shoes don't get you in trouble
4. You don't worry if the shop apron makes you look fat
5. No sleeves to get caught in anything spinny
6. Your wife won't ask you to go anywhere
8. It keeps the neighbors away.
9. It brings you closer to nature
10. You have a handy measuring device or "story stick" right there in front of you (some people may need to make smaller projects that others)(some stories are short stories)

carry on, I know you all have more to add..........here it comes

So can I guess that you have absolutely NO body hair?! ;)

Seriously (yes occasionally I can be serious). I have old coveralls that have the sleeves cut off at about the elbow. I was at a truck stop that had sold used mechanics coveralls large enough to fit around my many stored meals. Very cheap at about $8. They now have enough glue and paint on them that they don't need a hook! When they start walking on their own  , then I'll pull out the next set.

Thank you for helping edit. I installed #7

I thought with so many creative folks here, that would kind of explode and there would be 30-40 reasons.

A rule to live by is "Never cook bacon naked." I think that extends to activities that involve potential splinters. And yes, as Ed says my garage floor is cold and rough.
