Years back everyone on the forum was talking about the Sand Flee.
I haven't heard a word in years and I went looking for it on the SS site with no luck.
Is it a dead horse?
What ever happened to the Sand Flee?

1. Haven't used mine for a while, but I'm pretty sure it weighs more than the bandsaw but less than the jointer. The biggest problem for me is not the weight, it's feeling around to get the accessory posts into the correct mounting holes.
2. I store mine on one of the Shopsmith aluminum mounting bases attached to the top of a waist-high rolling cabinet.

Mine is seldom used yet mounted on one of my 520's full time. It is heavy enough I cannot lift it without help (please realize this is due to personal limitations). I hate to admit I had trouble with mine shortly after purchasing it the manufacturer refused to assist me. Shopsmith did go out of their way to make it right. I recently desired to purchase some sanding rolls and also desired to add a motor to it and make it a free standing unit. Phone call and email all went unanswered. I remember the gentleman who was interviewed by Nick Engler at the time Shopsmith introduced it, appeared older and wonder if he is still actively marketing the tool. I like mine and use it when appropriate. Jim
