Well not exactly a Wixey, but just as good. When I touch the compass app on my cell and swipe from right to left - up comes a clinometer able to indicate tilts in 1 degree increments.
It performs this function laying on its back, or standing on any edge.
When at an angle, there are two circles in the screen. When these circles become concentric, the slope is zeroed (level) and the screen turns green. It is not only the two circles (I think of them as bubbles) - There is always a display, in the center of the screen showing the number of degrees of slope, shown as (-) degrees.
Found a "wixey" in my cell phone.

Yep. And there are several other apps that will give you a clinometer with 0.5 degree read outs.charlese wrote:Well not exactly a Wixey, but just as good. When I touch the compass app on my cell and swipe from right to left - up comes a clinometer able to indicate tilts in 1 degree increments.

Level app
Was this after the IOS 7 update? My compass app doesn't do anything (other than tell direction) if I swipe right, left, up or down.

I HAD POSTED THIS WRONG, BUT THEN GOT THINKING IT WASN'T THERE WITH Ios5. SORRY IF THERE WAS CONFUSION BEFORE I EDITED THIS POSTING. Count that bad up to old age. (good excuse)
At least the post was fixed in 6 hours. Takes my mind that long to put recent events in cronological order.
I use the Utilities App, Compass, after the compass starts working and give lat and longitude - - Swipe from right to left and the two "bubbles" and the degree number come onto the screen.
Good luck! If yours won't do this, take it to an Apple Store. The IOS7 update is free.

Wow, never saw that before. I had downloaded an app that had the bubble vial and protractor and used it for a while and then a few months ago broke down and bought the new wixey with level on sale.charlese wrote:No this was before IOS7.
