True - IF you go to the accessories page. But someone investigating the SS would go to the Mark V page, and not seeing a link on either page, would probably conclude that there is none. They then miss all of the owner input, etc.dusty wrote:You are right. The referenced link is not on the Home Page but it isn't hidden very well. It sticks out like a sore thumb on the next page in. Right hand side, right below Nick's grinning mug.
And they may lose a few sales because of that. To say nothing of just some good woodworking knowledge.

Dusty!
Now I have to get the conical sanding package! It is just too good to pass up on the owners site!
Shoot!
I need some bandsaw parts too!
I'm in big trouble now.

My wife used to say that I wasn't a woodworker - I was a woodworking tool collector. She also said that what I made best was sawdust.
Well, now that I'm retired, my lust for new tools has actually decreased and my project output has increased. Afterall, you can make fine furniture exclusively with hand tools.
Having said all that of that, the conical sanding package is very tempting!

Conical Sanding Disk
I recommend the conical sanding disk package (#555477) as one of the best accessories Shopsmith sells. I have not use the flat sanding disk since getting the conical sanding disk as it did beautiful job of edge sanding. Also, I use the 150 grit to sharpen joiner and planer blades using the Planer/Joiner Knife Sharpener (#555471). This combination allows quick turn around when the joiner or thickness planer knives needs sharpening without having to buy extra sets of knives that you pay to have sharpen. I am still on the original 150 grit sanding disc as you can keep using a new section of the disc for the next job. I do use the abrasive cleaning stick (#753523) to clean the disc. I plan on acquring an additional conical sanding disk to use only for wood sanding.
