I saw this show up on our local CraigsList:

Never seen one before but an interesting combo tool, which I presume was Delta's response to the Shopsmith once upon a time (?) Doesn't look as versatile or convenient as a SS...looks like you have to insert the drill press pole and attach/detach a pully system through the table to use the drill press...that looks like a pain. I also wonder what the speed changing ability is, if any - presumably something steps up the rpm for the jointer. Also of course it doesn't have sander, horizontal boring, lathe, or avilability of SPTs...overall seemingly a pretty weak "clone". if that's what it was intended to be.

Interesting - thanks for the flyer and link Heath. Looks like the one on CL is missing the table saw extensions. Either way, I'll take a 10E/ER any day over this thing.

Go look at practically any tractor's belly mower belt drive, this is how it has been done on many for over 80 years. Look like a Rube Goldberg setup but it works and if the belt breaks it simply stops and falls off.
Editted I figured I better mention that on most modern tractor mower setups they are now direct drive from the PTO.
But old Farmall, Ford and International Cub tractors this is how it was done. On my father in laws the belt has a few more interesting twists going through two more sets of idlers.
