Text issue

Post by berry »

Sometimes when I read a post here the test extends way beyound my monitor width and I have to use the slider to read across a page and other times everything fits. What's with that? Actually that happens once in a while with an email I get.

I shall be a bit verbose here in an attemp to to create a line of text that is long enough to create a wrap. I do expect the wrap to occur without going beyond the right hand margin. Preventing the text from exceeding the right hand margin is a function of setup. PS: As can be seen here (at least on my computer), the inclusion of a large picture does not cause the stated problem.

Embedded text and attached images automatically wrap. Large images linked to can force the extra width 'view' as will long lines in the signature text.

Attached images are never so large due to the size limitation. Linked images do not have the size limitation.

As an earlier cause of many folks experiencing the excess view width I became familiar with why and eliminated the 'problem' by including 'CR's in the signature text. Also MickyD experimented with stacking images side by side that revealed the auto wrap of images.

Folks with really small displays(VGA 600x800) will experience the need to scroll often.

Those of us more fortunate with larger displays will not.

Windows display mode will also contribute to the 'issue'.
