Any idea what this dust port belongs to?

I bought a used Mark V with a bandsaw (on a power stand) and this piece came in a box with everything else. I have no idea what it is or where it goes. Any ideas?

Since you provided no photos that I can view, I'm going to guess it's a dust port upgrade that hasn't been installed on your band saw yet. If it has a flang with 4 holes, one in each corner and a 45 degree elbow on the discharge part, that's what it might be. If so, you cut a hole on the removable cover just below the table and bolt it on.

It looks to be part of the lower saw guard.
SS 500(09/1980), DC3300, jointer, bandsaw, belt sander, Strip Sander, drum sanders,molder, dado, biscuit joiner, universal lathe tool rest, Oneway talon chuck, router bits & chucks and a De Walt 735 planer,a #5,#6, block planes. ALL in a 100 square foot shop.
