Forget the "Made in the USA" campaign. We have lost that battle. Too many of us opted for high wages and those lower paying manufacturing jobs all went elsewhere. The high paid workers are now spending their last Unemployment Checks (unless the Pelosi gang can get them reinstated and she likely will).
Agree Dusty,

I think the only way to get a "New Majority" is to create a 3rd political party the "American" party. Their platform can be to take an idea, regardless of who thought of it and vote on it's merits. No adding amendments, pork etc. Let the bill stand on its own merit and vote on it, and all things ONE at a time.
No more slipping "Pork" for Senator "X" or Rep. "Y".

American Party slogan "One Bill, One Item, One Vote"

As far as unemployment, The problem today, it's become a lifestyle, not a helping hand to get over a rough time. Cut off the giveaway, and I'm sure they will take a job doing something when the get hungry enough.

Vote for who? In most elections the candidates scare me to death.

Last presidential election was an election between frick and frack neither one should have been allowed to even run for election much less get nominated.

The minute our elected leaders became professional political bureaucrats is the day this country was lost. No absolutely no elected official should be allowed to be a professional politician. If politics is your career great get hired and serve but you can not run nor can you ever be elected to an office.

Today major and grave decisions are made every day in congress based not what is best for this country but to insure the person making those decision and his croonies can be reelected.

What is needed is people with integrity and enough love for this country to risk it all to do what is right for this country. Until then we will be governed by people that haven't figured out you can't spend more than you bring in, it always leads to disaster.

Just a comment about the free cell phone.

I am sure there are others, but this guy has been in the front of this discussion for about 4 years or more. He has plenty to say.

This CPI calculation applies to all retired military, federal employees and social security. No one is exempt that I am aware of.

Some good thoughts in this thread.

I have always thought that only people who could vote for a candidate should be able to contribute money to that candidate.

There is something undemocratic about letting a rich person come in and buy an election.

Thanks,
