The shopsmith was a gateway drug to doing metal working. I would need a mod or something, then needed a tool, then needed a lathe, then this milling machine....now a bigger one. This machine is great. Cut a 1/2 inch deep slot, 1/2 wide in steel last week. Take light passes and she works well. Have some tooling etc...
