I did use the SS mounts, which are a bit expensive but they do work great - it would be easy enough to make something to serve the same purpose. The shelves are tall enough that my two Mark Vs can fit underneath when I'm not using them.

I like this very much BUT there is no way that I could put the jointer up there safely. This might be OKAY for the young pups but for this aging old man I do good to move it around at waist level. My jointer lives, almost exclusively, at the left end of the Mark V.

Here is my solution

Post by cooch366 »

This takes up 36" x 42" of floor space. Has casters so it can be moved around and out of the way. It works for me, but like most here, the fun is in the planning and making.

Hope the helps.

SPT Storage

Post by wrmnfzy »

I mounted a place for two SPTs on top of a two drawer filing cabinet on casters. I keep woodworking magazines and plans in the filing cabinet.

Is it stable. With that much weight that high above the CG, I would fear it toppling over. Now two two drawers cabinets, side by side, might do the trick.

No stability problems at all, but two side by side would give you more filing room and extra place for SPTs.
