Advice on Drilling Steel

Those old saws should be made of metal soft enough to file...How else would they have sharpened them???

I don't think that they will be hard to drill...

Filing and drilling are two different things. See your dentist to learn. Drilling is much more difficult, time consuming and uncomfortable.
