Ring Master

Post by ralphtaff »

I finally did it. I fixed up the m5 to look like a 10er and using the pulleys and a different motor ( the guts are out of the headstock) i got the Ring Master to work real good and cut three bowls out real fast after i adjusted the angle and lined up the cutters. Boy what a sweet sound that made to hear a machine just purr right and see all the sawdust coming from your work. And to know you are not wasting 80% of your wood. Only you guys and gals that work with wood and turn know what i mean by that sound of power and the purr of the cutter cutting on that wood. By the way i tried a 1/3 horse motor and it was a no go, the motor just bogged down. i found a one horse motor and WOW. Sanded on the machine and OMG the difference it makes, real purrrty.
