Saw an ER go today.....

The LOML and I took a walk mid-day today to an 'estate sale' a couple of blocks away. Something kept nagging me to go.....

Well, we got there. Wandered thru the house and made our way to the garage. There was a PRISTINE 10-ER sitting there.....not a spot of rust on it....all original....rip fence.....even had the jointer hooked up.

I saw a hand-lettered price tag stuck to the power cord (cracked and busted up like a 60 year-old power cord) and got really excited when I saw 150 written on it....then I rolled it over and saw the rest..... There was another zero....$1500. Another guy was looking thru some other stuff and said "I think some guy already bought that".

Another guy did buy it....for $350. Didn't have a clue what he had. I talked to him for a few minutes....he's expecting it to be the end to all means. He asked me what I knew about it... simply said, "You got a good piece of equipment. Hope you put it to good use".

Maybe I can pick it up at his garage sale in a few months for a reasonable price.

Sounds like a neat machine to have. Seems like a reasonable price, too.
