My wife and I are going to fly to Portland, Oregon for vacation this year. We plan on visiting Redwoods National Park, Fort Clatsop, Mount Rainier, Mount St. Helens, and Mount Hood as well as the Space Needle. For those of you who live in the areas I've listed is there anything else I should put on the itinerary? We'll be in the region for 9 days.

Space Needle & Pikes Place are obvious choices. The glass museum in Tacoma is pretty spectacular as well. Taking a walk-on Ferry ride might be worth your while, since it gives you a great view of the city for a pretty cheap price. You might want to consider driving between destinations along the WA and/or OR coasts on US 101. It wouldn't be extremely out of your way and there are some great views.
Spuds restaurants in the Seattle area for great fish and chips.
A trip around the Olympic peninsula if you have time. Three Crabs restaurant in Sequim for great seafood right next to the Dungeness Bay.
Vintage car races 4-6 July if you're sufficiently into racing. In previous times I've been to it, there have been cars going as far back as the 19-teens or maybe even -oughts through all sorts of eras and types of cars through about the late 60s or early 70s. Some recognizable names in the car corral and driving, Vic Edelbrock and one or maybe two of his daughters for instance driving in some of the heats. Met Chip Hanauer (Miss Budweiser driver).

I agree with all places in the above posts. I would also suggest a tour of the Tillamook Cheese factory on the Northern Oregon coast. It is a good example of local farmers cooperating to produce a national product. Also, look up on the internet "Avenue of the Giants" http://avenueofthegiants.net/. It is a Redwood forest preserve of ancient trees and a beautiful drive and some breathtaking short hiking. Worth a visit.
