8 in one? Sorry, but the Model 10s only came with the standard 5 tools. Adding a drum sander doesn't give you an extra tool. That would be like counting every drill bit as an extra tool. (However, If I saw a jigsaw, or the 10 series drop-down jointer, I may say 7.) The standard 10 series shaper-jointer head, even with the fence, (10 series or Mk5-500 fence) would still be 5 tools.
(Yes for you 10 series users, the EARLY Mk5 fence, will fit on the 10 series table.)

Dennis, I got my 10 for 125.00 with castors on CL here in WI, just as clean and working.

I don't really see a problem with that jointer. If I needed one I would buy that one. Getting scared out by that little bit of surface rust on cast surfaces is about like not buying a used car because the tires are dirty. 
Get a BBQ grill pad and take the top off and then use JPW on it and start using it. If you want to be fussy sand it down a little carefully.
I have only Ebayed one SS jointer which I sold for more than that and it had a big herd of hours on it, plus they paid a lot for shipping. I see absolutely no signs that point to any likelihood of any bearing problems... The bearings have rubber seals and it shows no signs of having been under water. That kind of rust is frequently caused by sitting with sawdust on the surfaces. On cast iron it usually looks a lot hairier than it really is.
You guys just don't understand rust.

robenson, totally agree, rust on CI is like a 4 day old beard, takes nothing to get it off!!!!
A jointer B4 and after, with rust blaster and a maroon pad, then 400 and 600 wet with oil.
