After buying one, I was pleasantly surprised to find the sloped hold down shim actually goes up to over 1 1/4" Nothing special needed. It holds the Shopsmith blades firmly.lv2wdwrk wrote:Charlese, just curious, do you have to do anything special to fit the Shopsmith blades since the description says that the sharpener will only fit up to 1" arbors.
