Post by bigmoe »

I found the instruction for making handcrafted bottle stoppers over a year ago. It was posted by rflaherty I have really enjoyed making them. Here is a link to the the original post was made. I thought some of the newer users may like to check it out. http://www.shopsmith.net/forums/showthr ... e+stoppers I hope some others can enjoy this as much as I have.

If anyone is looking for really nice stopper hardware, look around the suppliers for glass beadmakers.
Wine stoppers are a popular thing with glass beads.
You could just as easy use wood turnings in place of the beads.

A new supplier of very nice stoppers is

Another idea is the bead pens, small turnings would also work on the pens.

There is no such thing as an unsafe tool, only unsafe owners. If you make a machine idiot-proof, God will invent a better idiot.
