When my wife was a teen-ager she referred to some woman as a lady. Her father rightly corrected her by telling her that being female does not make one a lady just as being male does not make one a gentleman - in spite of what the military says about officers.

Southern living

Post by forrestb »

My daddy taught me to treat all females as ladies - unless they prove otherwise. But that just used to be a Southern gentleman's standard.

You've gotten some good advice but no one approached the finishing issue.

Problem solved: you have a 3 bedroom house and only need one in which to sleep. Voila! TURN BEDROOM #2 INTO YOUR FINISHING ROOM.

BTW a friend in Santa Barbara remodeled one side of his duplex by moving his SS from room to room as needed. He had no problems but it is true that dust was not a problem since he didn't live in that side and could afford a good cleanup when all was done.

We won't speak of ladies in this situation.

I got sleep happening in one room and drums happening in the other. I'll do finishing on the patio when needed. I'd also like to build some plastic models in the new room.
