I turned my first pen today.

This is the wood, cut from a pallet board.

Cutting the blanks to length, (SS bandsaw)

Drilling the blanks, (10 ER)

Glued in the tubes with medium superglue.
Trimming the blanks.

This is my set of ShopSmith chisels and a tube insertion tool I made from a Craftsman punch and a recycled handle. I used the skew to turn the pen.

Here the blanks have been turned and sanded.

Finish applied, tung oil and medium superglue.

Assembled using my 10ER dedicated drill press.

Nice job on your first pen and doing a CA finish besides. You are now hooked on pen turning.
