So, I took the tubes out of the bandsaw and I can see these are indeed the special band saw eccentric tubes (for use with the aluminum table so you can go vertical).

The PO added the stop collars. Everything is so rusty I can't get the stop collars to slide off. So into an Evaporust bath.

Also, checking my vintage model, it appears the single autotrack bearing was standard equipment on a band saw of this vintage. I will be upgrading it eventually.

I ended up getting the table inserts from peachtree. Had to thin it down to flush with a card scraper.

That's the only source I've seen.

I believe the insert is the same as the cast iron jig saw. Still scarce, but if you have the jig saw. . .! <<<<<<< Tain't so, See post 31!!!!!

P.S. I recommend replacing that thin bar stock with something much thicker.

I do have a jig saw insert and will try it out. As for the tubes, I don't have any pieces of steel like that hanging around and if I did I'm not sure I would have the capability to cut and drill it.

I have yet to find anything like this kind of deal! Last ad I saw sounded good, but turned out to be a total mess. Rusted tubes, frozen head stock and cracked table trunion. The guy was offended when I passed. One before that was a good deal, and of course I was too late. Congrats, I will keep looking.

What do you think I used to cut/drill what was in the pix?:D

Not sure I know what a Rotozip is. Where's the stock from?

Think abrasive cut off wheel(very thin, but also very small)

Steel supplier. Common bar stock. Not cheap, but one might get lucky and get a cutoff.

I have used an 8" abrasive cutoff wheel in the Goldie on occasion, but it is messy and wastes too much material(think kerf). Sure is pretty when cutting though!:D Must . hold . work . piece . very . ' securely!

Then there is that hand tool called a hack saw.

For future reference, this is incorrect. The jig saw is a much larger diameter than the cast iron band saw table insert.
