Sticky motor sheaves

Re: Sticky motor sheaves
Since the motor floating sheave oil hole is always on the motor shaft, unlike the Control Sheave, I have been adding a second oil hole in the middle of the sheave sleeve over the key for adding additional oil. Only a few drops of oil will be needed for the floating sheave so I add additional drops to the end at the exposed motor shaft and a few drops between the fan and floating sheaves.
Re: Sticky motor sheaves
Thought I would stop back tonight and fill you in on what the problem turned out to be..
I had worked all over the long key to ensure that there were no burrs or nicks. It was smooth as silk but still the sheave hung. Finally just on a hunch I put the keyon my straight edge and I could see light under it, The Long Key was Bent!
I ordered a new long key from the company and just finished installing it it, Problem solved!
