Hello,
A recent shower-remodel left plenty of spare porcelain tile. I made a simple towel-table from one tile.
On the underside I had 3 MDF pieces (presumably these will stay bonded to the ceramic) with both 5-degree bevels and 5-degree-from-perpendicular miter angles. I ended up managing this on the tablesaw by cutting some long beveled pieces, then taping them together, then sawing clean square edges using the miter gage.
The underside photo also shows the junk-wood walnut knot-hole, which, from the top-side, looks pretty nice.
Happy woodworking!

I think that the piece of furniture looks good. Another re-purpose-gone-good! Now I have a question: I can understand what the name implies, but what, exactly, do you do with a towel-table? Is it used to put a towel located where you want to have one ready for use? Or, is it for drying? Or what, exactly?

Nice work, Chris! Shows your skill, with the miters and tapers! I never would have known how you made the table top. Thanks for telling us!
Just find it embarrassing to lay on the floor to peer up at the underside of folks furniture. Never did think of going into someone's home and tip their furniture upside down.

Thanks, folks, for the kind words.
For a1gutterman's question, nu[de]hobby says:
The remodel job removed a towel bar from the shower door. After shower, no problem taking a wet towel across the room to another towel bar for drying. But, before shower, it was too easy to forget to bring a dry towel near the shower. The table is for that purpose, and to just dress things up a bit.
