Were it me, I'd just flip over the tiebar, so the bolt, even if loose, would hole the Model 10 in place.
(Flip it over, so the cut away part in the center, where the center screw goes, is facing the wall. That
way, the bolt, tiebar, or headrest would have to break (or, in the case of the bolt, be removed) for the
machine to go horizontal.

And,I've seen OLD pictures, of someone parking the front wheel of a post-war Buick, on the way tubes,
so nothing is going to just "break!" (Wasn't just the wheel, the whole car was held up with other methods
on the other 3 wheels, and the fourth one was resting on the Model 10 way tubes.) I could be snarky, and
suggest some one try that with a Mark series Shopsmith, but I'll pass on that. :D

10 ER, stripped down.
Basic 10ER, Parts machine. Will be a semi-dedicated drill-press machine.
10 ER, a "survivor" of the trailer fire, in the back yard, needing restoration. Has a Mk5 headrest. Finally, stripped down.
Numerous parts, for Model 10 stuff. Except for lower saw guard, A and B adapters, I've got it.

Looking for one more, or some 9 inch extension table raisers.

I'm so interested in the wall mount, I will take my spare 10ER and do the same except I will try positioning the base plate as if it was on a regular wood base. I will need to build a strong ledge(shelf) against the wall to support the 10ER's base plate and see how it goes. Just trying to keep everything as compact as possible...

With the spare 10ER, I don't need it to remain portable.

Has anyone mounted 2 10ER's back to back like the fellow who mounted 2 Mark V's back to back?
