I gotta go check. I didn't even know Shopsmith gave us an option. Being frugal as I am, I'll chose the "least expensive" anyway.
Dusty - I copied the following from the "Customer Support" then "Shipping" drop down at the top of this page:

Next-Day or 2-Day Service

If your in a hurry we offer Next-Day and 2-Day delivery service for an additional charge. This service is only offered by calling Customer Service at 1-800-543-7586. It is not currently offered online. Note: Flammables and Hazardous materials cannot be shipped Next-Day, 2-Day or outside the USA. This includes spray cans, paints and adhesives.

I may be wrong thinking this, but it seems to me that most of us order something whan we need it. Even though we new days ahead of time we were going to need whatever this item is. Then we get upset when it doesn't arrive two days after we ordered. So why don't we order when we first think about needing it? Just not the way most of us do things. Whenever I order something I always feel elated when it arrives by whatever shipping method used. I like, Rusty being a bit frugal about somethings just go with whatever method is chosen for me by shipper. I always have other things I can work on until it arrives.

Sorry, but I reorder when I use up the last item I have, so have a spare on hand. Like the belts I ordered on 04/05/15, shipped 04/06/15,received 04/08/15.
SS 500(09/1980), DC3300, jointer, bandsaw, belt sander, Strip Sander, drum sanders, molder, dado, biscuit joiner, universal lathe tool rest, Oneway talon chuck, router bits & chucks and a De Walt 735 planer,a #5,#6, block planes. ALL in a 100 square foot shop.

You got the procedure down pat, Beeg, but it is for you and I am glad that it works.

For me, I try to consolidate orders so that I DO NOT HAVE TO PAY SHIPPING OVER AND OVER AGAIN. If shipping costs were not so high, I might order whenever I use the last item. In the past, when I was making saw dust big time every day, I maintained a shelf supply of things like sanding belts, spray lubs, wax, saw blades, etc. I don't do that any more.

Four band saw blades just cost me $12.49 shipping and I waited 6 days for them to show. I still have not used the one that I mounted except to do a couple test cuts (which were disappointing). See different thread.

I ordered 20 bearings from VXB and paid $7.13 and expect delivery on Wednesday by USPS. We'll see.

I just received a shaper fence today. I don't remember when I ordered it! Or why, as I already have one! I need to check on that.

Update: I checked my history... I had ordered the shaper package on Feb. 20, 2015... The insert was back ordered, the rest of the package came within 10 days (or less). Now I have two shaper inserts as one came with the Mark 7...

I guess you can either consider it a spare or send it to me and I will "consider it a spare that was given to me by a nice guy on the forum."

Still no parts and it is 6:34 pm on Monday 4/20/2015. I guess I will have to call "customer diservice" tomorrow!

I can't remember the last time I ordered something on the internet when the company did not provide tracking information. Usually you know before you finalize the order when you select the shipping method what the estimated delivery date is. You get a confirmation almost immediately via email as to the status of the order and then an email when it actually ships with the tracking number.

SS just like most other sellers provide order status if you log on and check.

To be honest, I can't remember any thing I have ordered missing the stated delivery date. At least in the last 5 or so years.

This is silly!!! You don't need to call it SS diservice. SS has one of the best customer service departments of ANY company.

1. Did you get an email confirmation of your order?

2. Did you get an email confirmation that the order has shipped with a tracking number?

3. If yes, have you checked with the shipper using the provided tracking number as to the status of the shipment?

4. If you did not get an email from SS saying your order has shipped then log on to the SS site and check the status of your order. The link to do this will be in number one above.
